New £8M health centre to be built
Alice McKeegan21/ 3/2008
AN £8M state-of-the-art health centre will be built in Rochdale.
The investment is the next stage in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Primary Care Trust’s bid to improve access to health services for patients in the borough.
Seeing where the new health centres are first to be built (Milkstone Rd and opposite the KYP)...
...I suppose the old adage "the hinge that squeek the most get the oil".
Fair enough and good luck to these communities.
It is just a bit gaulling when we also see regeneration money and RDA largesse squandered in order to evict old folk from their bungalows in Wardleworth.
Yet again, a complete lack of consultation and utter contempt for some senior citizens.
As for con-sultation, is the new £8 million health centre to replace the Penn St complex?
Dodgy land deals in this town make people sick.

This is nothing new.
It was put in the budget aprox 10 yrs ago.
For goodness sake read the reports for your area and you will find this was reported a number of yrs ago. It is nothing new. How many people actually go to the area meetings and also the full council meetings and then go back to what has been said in meetings before that?
Goodness the people of Rochdale need to open their eyes and find out what is happening as to what has been said at meetings 10 yrs ago!!
