Gone with the wind...

19/ 3/2008

CONTROVERSIAL plans to build a windfarm on the moors above Littleborough could be dealt another blow tonight.

Pennine Township councillors are set to consider Coronation Power’s application to build a dozen turbines, each two thirds the height of Blackpool Tower, on Crook Hill at a meeting at the Town Hall.

herehere can't wait to see the giant hair dryers working. well what are you going to gain from them? not a reduction in your fuel bills. thats for sure. but you WILL be glad to know that your council tax will rise to pay for more of these. still can't wait to see them working?

The councilors shoudl go and see the scoutmoor windfarm rather than making their minds up based on some NIMBY views.

The horses will be scared, yeah right. Are these the same horses you take out on the road where some kid in his grans suped up Nova does 60mph past you with the sterio pumping umcha umcha umcha and the horse does not even flinch. Yeah right the baldes will scare the horses, pull the other one. We need green energy, we are blessed with appropriate land to achieve this, it is our duty to do this now. When technology changes they will be gone with no damage done. What we need are some councillors with balls.

Scoutmoor looks fantastic from my house, cant wait to see it complete and working.
