My dad was a teacher at Saint Wifrids, in the late 60's, and early 70's, he and John were friends. I went to Johns farm a few times as a boy. I was a pupil at Saint Wilfrids, and remember the motorbike and cross country runs. Saint Wilfrids School is on Friends Reunited, I have put some photos of the school on their site. I also have a few photos of pupils who would be about 50 years old now, no idea who they are though!

   Mr. Metcalfe tought me as a child. He was great not only as a PE and Technical Drawing teacher but in a all male class, complimented perfectly the "birds and bees" education we got from our parents. He used to follow us up on the moors during the dreaded cross country runs on his scrambler bike. (He also used to give the slow fat kids a half mile lift so they could keep up)! He made many kids in the crazy 60s/70s make sense of life. His contribution to soceity was priceless, what a pity he had to leave us so young.
