Police add to couple's New Delhi nightmare

Bethan Dorsett
12/ 1/2008

A BELFIELD man has described the moment his dream holiday turned into a nightmare at the hands of a knife-wielding gang.

Michael Bamford and his partner, Ann Smith, were just days into their three-week trip to India when, in New Delhi, they came face-to-face with the violent muggers, who took their passports and visas.

what a lovely person anglosaxon sounds. i hope that neither his , mother wife or his daughters are attacked in this way , i am presuming that he has them but then i wouldnt be surprised that a person with a personality like probably lives on his own . this is my mum and was in a terrible state when she got home and i would not wish this on my worst enemy , no not even you . i do hope that you never get battered like that but then if you did , maybe they would knock some sense into you and hopefully hit the compassion part of your brain . you obviously have nothing better to do with your time , i wonder why!! .go and get a life and stop WHINGEING about something that had a massive effect on two people , both physically and mentally and i hope you never have to find out that your mother , wife , daughters are battered and kicked at on the floor ... oh and belfield only has one "L" .

I feel sorry for this cpl. what do you expect from india and indians? Michael, is right about india been the worst country in the world. There is no law in india. I cant believe how the police behaved with this cpl. what's more funny is this "there is no crime in new dheli" what nonsence!. India is full of criminals. What I find outrageous is the indian police! Indians need to look after their tourists. India needs income from tourists from the west! Well done Michael and Ann, thank you very much for bringing this story forward.
