Family pet is burned alive

Bethan Dorsett
18/12/2007

A DAD has spoken of his horror after sick yobs hanged his family’s pet rabbit and burned it alive.

In a gruesome attack, the gang had taken the rabbit from its hutch at a garden shed in Merefield before tying a makeshift noose from a clothes line around its neck. They then used white spirit to set the beloved pet alight.

I cannot believe someone could be so evil this act of cruelty is beyond comprehension. I would hope the punishment fits the crime but then civilised people do not act like this...pity

That's one of the most shocking things I've read about this year. Whoever did this is clearly disturbed and needs dealing with. Hopefully they will be dealt with in as barbaric a fashion, but no doubt the social authorities will find someone else to blame for these sick b******'s problems.

If the punishment fits the crime can we have Glenn Close boil him in her pan.

It is almost impossible to comprehend how someone could commit such a barbaric act. It is an act of pure evil. Someone must know who has done this. Let's hope they can be brought to justice - which will undoubtedly be much kinder than what they have done to this helpless animal.

What kind of world do we live in when this kind of things go on? Utterly sickening.

I hope who ever did this dies alone, in pain, unwanted and soon.
