Postmaster secures OAP festive payout

PROMPT action by a Rochdale postmaster has ensured that thousands of local pensioners will not go hungry over Christmas.
Jagdish Patel, who runs Buersil Post Office, moved swiftly after the Post Office told postmasters that pensions for Christmas week would have to be paid on Monday, which is Christmas Eve.
