Dead man fined
Bethan Dorsett14/12/2007
A KIRKHOLT man has been fined for not having a TV licence – even though he is dead.
Kenneth Brierley was fined £200 by Rochdale magistrates on 28 November – six weeks after losing a long fight against cancer.
His family didn’t know anything about the fine until they read his name in last Saturday’s Observer.
The bailiffs must have noticed he was a sick man.
It's all about money money money in this country , stealth taxes and fines amongst the poorest of society.
How we are not rioting against this regime is a mystery.
How much did these half wits think his settee would make?
Its a bloody police state.
