Arthur picked as top man

OVERWHELMED and honoured were the words used by Father Arthur Neary when he was named Rochdale’s Man of the Year.

The priest who led the fight against service cuts at the Infirmary was given a standing ovation by more than 250 guests when the award was announced at a ceremony at the Town Hall on Friday.
