Damning report forces out boss

THE adult care service provided by Rochdale council has been heavily criticised after a government inspection.

It has resulted in the head of service, Stephen Netherwood, quitting his post – he has taken early retirement – and the service being downgraded from two star to one.

   We should not condemn until we know all the facts, rough justice does not rule in our times. With regard to the comments from “Anglosaxon, Norden” perhaps the Social Services were better in Anglo-Saxon times, or did they all get sacked when the Normans took over!!!! 06/12/07

   typical social sercices...waste of all tax payers money , what do they do exactly ? have meetings about meetings and get a good salary for nothing.sack them all
