FIRST Evolve Then Destroy (FETD) are set to resurrect fast melodic punk.
Formed in 2000 FETD have already released DIY EPs ‘Get A Life’ and ‘For The Kids’ under their former name Diminished.
Winners of the Back Door Music project’s battle of the bands many years ago they were given the chance to record at the Cutting Room studios in Manchester, the popular choice of many iconic bands including Oasis and The Charlatans.
The success of the singles on the underground music scene gave the band a chance to spread their sound and get gigs out of town, playing support slots for The Filaments, Stuntface and Spunge.
Recording their final EP ‘Ska, Punk & Super Skunk’ before retiring in 2005 and recently reforming as FETD, with a new frontman stepping up to the mic.
Band members now include: John Fitzpatrick, vocals and guitar; Lee Barnes, guitar; Tom Harris, bass; Aiden Lilley, drums.
And continuing on their punk quest FETD now have their very own dedicated website near completion and are planning take some time in the recording studio in the near future, while ranking up as many gigs as possible for 2009.
