Mirrorview

1/ 8/2008

ALREADY touring three times a year and playing to packed out crowds Mirrorview were formed in the holiday sunshine of 2003.

With lead singer and guitarist Ben Gerrard offering to teach James Robinson to play bass and recruiting school friend Owen Beard on drums the band were soon formed under the name of Chairmen of the Bored.

The band decided to change their name in 2007, putting together completely random words trying to create name devoid of stereotypes and so the band was rebranded Mirrorview.

Influenced from many different types of music including rock, pop and metal; Mirrowview even took a brave step and admitted to listening to Meatloaf and aspiring to collaborate with the Bat out of Hell.

Recently releasing their first full length album entitled Black January the Rochdale three-piece are finally pleased with the sound they have created after years of development, describing their tunes as just good melodic rock music.

Mirrorview’s aim for the future is just to keep gigging, building up an even bigger fan base on top of almost 30,000 friends that they already have on their myspace and possibly even taking their sound on tour outside the British Isles.
