The Reveres

THE Reveres are an accident-prone and unconventional Rochdale five-piece.

The members were originally university friends, who have been gigging around Liverpool and Manchester since they formed the band together two and half years ago.

They have found it difficult to break into the Scouse music scene, preferring to play closer to their home town where there are more opportunities to rock the crowd at larger venues.

These include The Academy, Roadhouse and Night and Day were they made an entrance to be remembered, or maybe forgotten, after accepting a few too many free drinks caused them fall down the stairs with their amps and equipment.

Refusing to pigeon-hole their sound, The Reveres claim that they like to mix up their sets to keep the audience on their toes and showcase their best tunes.

The band features poetic singer/songwriter Oliver Lomax who can be guaranteed to entertain, but can’t always be relied on to plug in his guitar.

Band members also include Paul Hesketh, vocals and guitar, Pete Walker, guitar, Simon Farrar, Bass; and Dan Sheridan, drums.

Their musical highlights so far include having their song ‘Same Old Scene’ chosen by Clint Boon from XFM as an uploaded track of the week.

But keeping it real and focusing on the here and now, The Reveres main aim is to “make a really really good album, that’s just not boring!”
