Sound Stripe

SOUND STRIPE are a garage-rock-indie band from Rochdale.

They were formed when a friend requested them to play at her birthday bash.

Inspired by The White Stripes and the Von Bondies they broke away from the traditional path of Weddings and Bar Mitzphas and have been gigging around Manchester for the past four years.

Band members include Paul Wright, 27, vocals and lead guitar, Jeni Holt, 22, bass and keyboard, Joe Holt, 17, drums and Matt Hall, 21, rhythm guitar.

Their career highlight so far has been headlining to heaving crowd at the Manchester Academy 3, surrounded by balloons and kamikaze crowd surfers.

Sound Stripe's fantasy gig would comprise of forming a collabaration with musical comedy duo Jack Black and Dave Grohl to play at the notorious Viper Room in LA.
