As bassist in not one, but two of the Manchester’s most influential bands, Joy Division and New Order, Hook was a regular face at Cargo Studios in Kenion Street and is hoping that blue plaque celebrations will inspire a new generation of Rochdale musicians.

‘All Around the World’ star Lisa Stansfield is backing new music in Rochdale, offering recording time in her own studio as first prize in the Back Door Music Project’s Battle of the Bands competition.
