COMMUNITY Noticeboard is our service to all societies, associations and church groups in the area ... here's what's going on in the Whitworth and Healey area.

Disco dancing: Hallfold Church Hall, Hall Street, Whitworth, every Wednesday 5.30-6.30pm. Contact Jean Cowgill (tel: 644298).

Our Lady and St Anselm's Junior Football Club:. Contact club secretary Ian Mitchell (tel: 852010).

Parent and Toddler Group: Meets Hallfold United Reformed Church, Hall Street, Whitworth, Fridays (9.30am to 11am). Contact Christine Muir (01706 645934).

Samba Dance and Fitness:, Tonge Lane, Whitworth:. Disco and Aerobic classes, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Contact Sam Cawley (tel: 872626).

Shawforth Methodist Church: Parent and toddler group, meets Monday and Wednesday (9.30am-11.30am). Contact: Mrs Christine Haworth (tel: 853422).

St John's Parent and Toddler Group: Meets at St John's church hall, Studd Brow, Facit, Whitworth, Tuesdays/Thursdays (9.15am-11.15am). Contact Jenny (tel: 657618).

Whitworth After School Club: For working parents Monday-Friday (3pm to 6pm). 33 Thorburn Drive, Whitworth. Contact Kath Bailey 356665.

Whitworth Historical Society: Whitworth Museum, North Street, Whitworth (opposite Rawstron Arms), open Tuesday (7.30-9.30pm), Saturday (2-4pm). Contact D Lord (tel: 853510).

Whitworth Playgroup, Hallfold URC: Established 30 years, three trained staff, 9.30am-11.25am. Contact: Maggie 658854.

Whitworth Slimming World: Meets at Sunnybank Daycare Centre, Market Street on Wednesdays at 6pm. For more details, contact Deana on 01706 373306.
