Community Noticeboard - Royton, Crompton and Shaw

COMMUNITY Noticeboard is our service to all societies, associations and church groups in the area ... here's what's going on in the Royton, Crompton and Shaw area.

Oldham Saints Girls Football Club: Winter training sessions every Monday at Royton and Crompton Artificial Pitch (next to school, off Blackshaw Lane, Royton) (6-7pm). Summer training on bottom pitch at Clayton Playing Fields, adjacent to McDonalds. New members (girls aged eight to 15) needed to play in both Oldham and Tameside leagues every Saturday. Rochdale and Oldham Compassionate Friends: A group for bereaved parents. Contact Mrs D Daveron (tel: 644840).

50-plus Line Dance Class: Shaw Community Centre, Tuesdays (10am). Tel: Kath 624490.

High Crompton Morris Dancing Troupe: Practice at Shaw Comrades Club, Manchester Road, Shaw, every Monday (6pm-8pm). Contact Beryl Schofield (tel: 660794).

Mature Movers: Fitness classes for all at Shaw Community Centre, every Weds (10am). Contact Kath (624490).

Monarch Ju Jitsu Club: Every Weds Tara Sports and Leisure, Grains Road, Shaw. Juniors 7-8.15pm. Seniors 7.45-9pm. Contact Keith Turner (299430).
