Marion Haslam

A MEMBER of Ramsbottom Cricket Club for 44 years, Mrs Marion Haslam, of Windermere Drive, Ramsbottom, died last Tuesday, aged 62.

Mrs Haslam worked as a domestic assistant for 17 years at Whittle Pike Day Care Centre in Ramsbottom. she was a member of the ladies’ committee at Ramsbottom Cricket Club, the Women’s Institute, a flower club member at Ramsbottom Civic Hall and a member of the Get-Away Club.

She enjoyed theatre, gardening, knitting and travel.

Wife of Maurice Haslam, she also leaves sons Jonathan and Michael, daughter Sally, sisters Eleanor and Stella, granddaughters Libby, Jessie and Molly. Her funeral was yesterday (Thursday) when the Rev David Burton led a service at Holcombe Brook Methodist Church followed by interment in Ramsbottom cemetery.

Donations were requested for the Christie Hospital.
