TRIBUTES have flooded into the Rochdale Observer following the death of one of the town‘s most highly-respected journalists.

Alan Tweedale, who began and ended his career with the paper, died in the Infirmary on 8 April after suddenly collapsing at his home in Passmonds. He was 82.
